Minecraft started for me when I watched one of my favorite Youtuber play it. He used to play some Call of Duty but one day he played Minecraft. I watched him play for at least 30 episodes 30 minutes each, not because he was extremely entertaining but because the game looked so cool! Then I searched on google "Minecraft", the first link was Minecraft wiki and instinctly I clicked on it. I went through every crafting recipe, every block and mobs. I was obsessed what was minecraft how did it work? So I went to its original website from the Wiki and saw the price "$19.95". Then I went downstairs to my brother and told him about this awesome game and in the end I added it was only $19.95. He said he will look into it but the game looked kind of weird. I went up stairs kind of feeling sad, 15 minutes later he came up smiling and told me he got an account. He downloaded it on my computer and entered his password and there I first saw the MOJANG loading screen. From there he left me telling me to go build something and he will come back up in 30 minutes. I made a house using tips I got from youtube, to me it looked beautiful. That was basically the way I got minecraft and how I got to know of it. After that I played minecraft alot! I tried to accomplish everything you can first nether portal, then monster traps, and after trying mods. I do not really like mods because they change the game to much sometimes. The mods I liked to use were Planes Mod, Too Many Items for building, Dynamic Torch Mod, and Single Player Commands. One thing I really did was learning the game from how it was made to its mechanics. I went to the wiki and read all I could about this game and I learned some useful tips which were really effective while playing. The sort of things I learned was what monsters need to spawn, how was the creeper made, and lots of mechanics of the game.
 My skin is a TF2 Scout.

I played on single player. My seed was Athanaetos, and luckily I was spawned beside a mountain. So I chopped 2 trees because you need at least 10 wood to survive a night. It did not take long and I went up the mountain. I do not care about rescorces as much as I want my house to be at a good view. I started building up top but I needed Iron and Coal. After making a chest and storing all my stuff I went mining. I went through 5 caves and was on my 6th and found 25 coal and no iron. Only thing that made me happy was that I never died due to my experience of this game. I was attacked by 8 skeletons and 3 zombies in total and I did not even have a bed yet. Hopefully next time I will find Iron and more and get to duel my nemesis the Creeper! |

When I logged on my Single player world from last time got deleted. So I decided to have some fun. I typed in the seed "givemeabreak" and spawned next to a NPC village. There I took over one house of the NPC's and went to their black smith. In the black smiths shop there was a chest (there always is) and from it I got 2 Iron chests, 1 Iron leggings, 1 Iron feet and also 3 Gold Ingots. Some people claim to have found Diamond in those chests but I was not that lucky. Afterwards I got some wheat, stone, and lots of chicken eggs (18 to be exact). I threw all my eggs at the ground only to find 2 baby chickens and one of them ran away. Next time I hope the server is up because I do not want to play anymore Single player (I can do that at home!). |

Today I found out my world was yet again deleted. Instead of giving up I started a new one! I was hoping for the server to be playable but sadly it was not. What I did was that I made a new house. I spawned near lava and I thought it was cool! Also I was harvesting trees and it became night, so once again I had to fight 3 creepers 5 zombies and 4 skeletons. It was not hard for me but killing the first zombie made it easier. He dropped an Iron Sword because of the new 1.2.3 update. After the sword I swiftly took down the rest of the zombies then went for the Creepers. I prefer fighting creepers in flat land or in water because they do not destroy blocks underwater. When I was done with them I went in to my house, skeletons are no problem when you're inside (other than doors!). I slept and in the morning when I came outside I saw the 4 skeletons waiting under trees and not burning (also a part of 1.2.3) so I just ignored them and then it was time to go! I hope next time the server is running completely because next time is on the 19th (2 weeks from now!).

Today was the best. Like I wanted the server came up (at least for us) and so me MCEPIC0 and hellcrafterz decided to work together. We went mining in a cave and had to deal with many, many zombies, spiders, skeletons, and creepers. We found lots of coal and iron. As we went deeper we found that the spiders where coming from a dungeon. The dungeon did not have the best items, as we ventured further we found gold. Now since the 1.2 update gold is very use full because you can make golden apples and then eat them to get lots of health. Then we found lava and guess what was near that lava? DIAMONDS! MCEPIC0 had the iron pick axe so he got the honor of mining diamonds. After that we got back up and then fought a few more zombies and skeletons. I hope next time we build our house because right now we have no saftey. |

Today we decided to build a tower. Building giant towers is one of my most favorite things in minecraft (I do not know why) and so we did. It did end up really big but I still liked it. At the top of the tower we made a "central" hub so it could lead to other stuff. We made the floor out of glass and made a water elevator leading from the hub to the roof. I plan to do some more mining and maybe build more rooms to our tower. |

Today we built add-ons to our hub. We added a tree farm and made the water elevator a bit better. I went around and put torches around our little island. I also collected some wood for future buildings. The tree farm turned out great and now we want to build a animal farm but we need spawner eggs. I want to build a infinite water pool in a well from so it would look nice. |

Today I started to build my well. I made it with half blocks, fences, cobblestone and water. In the end it looked really nice. Hellcrafterz in the mean time worked on making our animal farm he is now almost done (we still need spawner eggs!). MCEPIC0 got some cobble and other resource from mining, so he could help us build. I then went and used the cobble and wood to replace our dirt tower with wood and some parts out of cobble. That was a hard and annoying task. In the end me and MCEPIC0 made a water pool which leads into the ocean. For next time I want to give our well a greater meaning, and I want to build my own room after the farms are setup. |

Today I did not work on enhancing my well. I want to make it more special. So what we did was that Liragrim gave us eggs using OP powers so we can enhance our farms (animal). Hellcrafterz went on and made a food farm with weat and everything. I then made our house, I planned it so that it will be on top of our pool (we made that last time). When I was done the outline I filled the floor in with a checkered pattern of black and white wool. It looked awesome! But for me it was not enough. I removed the wool in the corners and poured water into it. So now it flows into our pool, adding a new entrance and an affect. Also something I want to address is that some people from other schools come into our houses and steal items. Visiting our house is more of a honor but taking stuff and griefing is total violation. My question is that what can we do to stop it?

Today, I finally got my well to do its purpose. I went underneath it and put signs right below the water signs. Making the water float in the air, so now I can come outside from our basement, and back in! Also Helly went on a mining trip to get some obsidian. It was not as sucsessful as planned. So instead me and MCEPIC0 fixed up the house a bit. Made it look way nicer. Miss Colby also came to visit our house, (she went AFK). After all that, we seemed to get bored. But the PvP arena was setup. Using the new commands I got to there (/warp pvp) then I used more commands to get into battle. In the begining it was weird. Then I got used to it, near the end I was really good. Got a double take down on Artagrim and MCEPIC0. I would change many stuff to this. Not stuff like commands, just mainly the classes and the battle arena itself :D. |

Today, we did not have as much time as normal but that did not effect us in anyway possible. I managed to make a little shelter in the jungle and the railroad track helps us get to it. Our railroad uses really bad-ish redstone wiring to power it, now that we have more redstone I might want to improve it. Also hellcrafterz and I went mining but due to my hunger I had to leave and shortly after I left he had found diamonds! Now we have 8 =D. I really love the new commands, I just can not express how much they help. /Home takes me to my current spawn and /warp can take us where ever the teachers set it. What we plan on doing for next time is, we will send MCEPIC0 to go live in the jungle, collect what is needed and make a house. I will expand stuff around the house and make it look better (what I like to do) and hellcrafterz will do what he wants to. |

Finally we play minecraft! So today we all split up, I worked around the house, hellcrafterz went mining, and MCEPIC0 went to live in the jungle. Luckily we all were sucsessful. I got to make a terrace and a roller coaster (work in progress). Hellcrafterz found 6 more diamonds! and got some obsidian with which we created 1 enchanting table and a nether portal. MCEPIC0 made a house on top of a really big/giant tree, we set a warp there, I am not sure if I am allowed to share it. For next time I want to use our redstone an create my signature bridges (lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Xsvjnr0gs) and make the roller coaster waay better. I hope to have my allies and I venture to the nether and hopefully we may spot a nether dungeon. |

Wow Athanaetos! I am so excited you are a part of our club and I really like your "how I got into Minecraft" story. I just tried my first Nether portal tonight. I got pwned pretty severely and died quickly but it was so different that I went in several times. Maybe you can teach me how to survive it! I'll post a picture of my first house on my page. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your welcome! All I can say is that you just have to learn the mechanics of the different mobs in the nether but even if you do its still pretty wild.

Well, the Ghastly (is that how you say it) was nearly impossible to deal with. The attacks seem to come out of nowhere! I met a couple of zombie pig men and I actually slew one. I look forward to your advice!

Yes I can not wait until it is Monday (even though Monday is my most hated day) due to minecraft club I love it now. On Monday we can discuss what we already know and get started we do not nee to worry about anything much because we will only be doing some house creating. I would like to make another page with some information I already know.

if you time your arrows correctly you can deflect the ghast's fireball cnd make it hit the ghast for a 1hit k.o

Yeah its epic to do so. I am not sure about the 1 hit K.O but yeah its still cool. Also I rather just reflect by hitting it instead of using my arrows. :D

How do you hit the fireball - with a sword? How is that possible? Like hellcrafterz said, I can deflect the ghast's fireball with my arrows but it takes aim (or as hellcraft told me today during the club time, "firing a bunch of arrows all at one time"

Its actually true. Just time your swing and when the ball comes close if you do it right you can deflect it. Its way easier to use your weapons instead and does not waste arrows. I wish I could show you but it takes a while to make a nether portal. As for the Pigmen do not kill them if you do not have diamond tools, because they all attack if you attack one!

Ath, can you make a video to show me how? Or describe it? I have no clue on earth how you'd fight a Ghast throwing fireballs with your regular melee weapons. It's crazy and chaotic especially when you have multiple ghasts attacking you simultaneously. I just use my handy OP powers and bring lots and lots of arrows so I'd love to learn how to do it. I'm ready to learn, great master!

How'd you survive the 8 skeletons and 3 zombies without a house or a bed? What was the first weapon you made?

Well as I said it was because of my experience with the game. I was using my fists or a wood sword, so it was mostly tactics I used to kill them.

I enchanted my sword (and it glows! It's pretty and blue now too!) but I still have problems killing things at close range without getting hit myself. I'm also dying to find out how to video encounters. I must be patient!

Ath, thanks for teaching me how to use Fraps! I made my first video and I'll show it to you later. I'm so happy the server's finally working at our school. (You could probably tell from all the yelling and because it took me a while to go log in other players if they got booted.)

Did you know you can create your own Battle Night classes? You may have to look this up for how to do it, because I've never tried it before - Praxismaxis just told me it was possible. I need to figure out how to make a wide ring of lava around the base of the arena.

I did not, I would love to google and hopefully find it out, when or if I do I will tell you what I found out. Also, if you want me and my friends (MCEPIC0 and Helly) can come and help you make the battle arena, we won't use any of your items (op powers). We can help by adding, lava, new areas (if needed) and even with setting commands :D

Athanaetos - I love the way you've organized your page and all the writing you've done about your experiences on the the server! It's great to see your fellow Minecrafters helping you out with your builds. Working together is a great way to discover more about Minecraft (but PvPing is also a lot of FUN too!)

Thanks for the comment, I love minecraft and in fact I have been playing it since it was in Classic mode. The friends I mention are my buddies and we work together to make almost everything. I am really glad you liked my page, thank you!
